In the past the use of our search tool Twinword Finder, for the search of patents did not supported the search of patents on Google Patents site (patents.google.com), as the site used special HTML tags.

However, we have published the fix to the store (v0.2.95). In a day or two, your Chrome browser will auto-update the Finder extension by itself. Here are the steps to follow in order to start finding patents.

Searching for Patents with Twinword Finder

  1. Visit Google Patents site (patents.google.com)
  2. Search by classification or keyword
  3. Click on the webpage that you wish to view
  4. Launch Twinword Finder
  5. Input any keyword to do an exact, or related search-on-page

 

Alternatively, can also access U.S. patent applications online (uspto.gov/patft). Click on Tools under “Related USPTO Services”  to search by Patent Classification. Launch Twinword Finder and input any keyword to do an exact, or related search-on-page.
